Saturday, June 9: Phillies Home Run Derby
10 a.m. Higbee Field Little League complex, Aster Road and Atlantic Avenue . Batting contest for boys and girls ages 8-15. Event run by North Wildwood Recreation Department. Free. Call 522-2955.  

Sunday, June 17: Wheelin’ The Wildwoods Fathers’ Day Family Bike Ride
8 a.m. Sweetbriar Road and New Jersey Avenue . Non-competitive family bicycle tours of 26 and 10 miles through the Wildwoods and surrounding scenic areas. Fee $15 for 26-mile ride, $10 for 10-mile ride. Call 523-0202 or log on to www.wildwoodcrest.org.

Friday, June 22-Sunday, June 24: 11^th Annual Scoop Taylor Summer Slam AAU girls basketball tournament
County-wide, weekend-long event played locally at Crest Pier Recreation Center , Ocean Avenue and Heather Road , and Wildwood Crest Memorial School , New Jersey Avenue and St. Louis Road . Hundreds of AAU girls basketball teams ages 10U to 17U from throughout the region competing.

Wednesday, June 27-Wednesday, Aug. 1: Pier Playmates Day Camp, Session I
Five-week program held 9 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Crest Pier Recreation Center , Ocean Avenue and Heather Road . Camp open to children entering grades pre-K through 7. Arts and crafts, sports, field trips and other activities. Fee required. Call 523-0202.

Saturday, June 30-Sunday, 31: Fourth of July Freedom Festival and Craft Show

Friday, July 6: Cape May County Lifeguard Championships
6 p.m. On the beach at Rambler Road . Beach patrols from Cape May County competing in various rowing, swimming and running competitions that showcase lifeguarding skills. Hosted by the Wildwood Crest Beach Patrol. Free Call 522-3825 or log on to www.wcbp.org.  

Saturday, July 14: Swim for the Dolphins

Saturday, Sept. 22: Seafarers Weekend Celebration
10 a.m.-9 p.m. Sunset Lake between Rambler Road and Miami Avenue . Dozens of crafters, food vendors, entertainment, live music, children’s activities and much more overlooking beautiful Sunset Lake . Event culminates with fireworks show at 8 p.m. Free. Call 523-0202 or 522-1669.  

Sunday, Sept. 23: Crest Adventure Races
9 a.m. Sunset Lake at Rambler Road . A two-mile run, 10-mile bike, two-mile run duathlon. Also a separate two-mile run. Fee required. Call 523-0202.  

Saturday, Sept. 29-Sunday, Sept. 30: Sunset Lake Hyrdofest Power Boat Races
