Wildwood
Crest Youth Wrestling Club registration
The Wildwood Crest Wrestling Club, a youth
program for boys and girls in grades 1-8, is currently conducting
registration for its 2009-10 season.
The program is open to beginning, intermediate
and advanced youth wrestlers from
Cape May
County
. Participants will be matched with those of similar age, weight and
skill levels.
Practice/training sessions are held Monday and
Wednesday evenings from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the
Wildwood
Crest
Pier
Recreation
Center
. The program will conclude in late February.
The program, which is directed by experienced
youth wrestling coaches Steve Shearer and Steve De Ritis, will
include instruction, practice workouts, a handful of matches against
other wrestling clubs and tournaments.
Registration forms are available at the

at
5800 Ocean Avenue
in Wildwood Crest. Cost is $55 for the season, or $5 per practice.
Fee for two or more wrestlers from the same family is $100.
Tournament fees are not included. A copy of the wrestler’s birth
certificate, insurance information, medical history and
physician’s contact information are needed at time of
registration.

Crest Pier Yoga
Classes
The Wildwood Crest Recreation
Department hosts yoga classes three days per week at the
Crest
Pier
Recreation
Center
. Classes are directed by Bobi Watson, Recreation Leader.
Classes are held
Tuesdays from 10:30 to 11:45 a.m. and 7:30 to 8:45 p.m. and
Thursdays from 7:30 to 8:45 p.m. Cost is $5 per class or $50 for 12
sessions. All ages are welcome.
Attendees are
encouraged to arrive five minutes prior to start time and to bring
their own mats.

Fit Seniors
Exercise Classes
The Wildwood Crest
Recreation Department holds its Fit Seniors program, an exercise
class specifically designed for the senior citizen, each Tuesday
from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the
Crest
Pier
Recreation
Center
. The class focuses on safe and effective endurance, flexibility,
balance and strength training to improve overall function.
Fee is $5 per class
or 12 classes for $50.
Instructor for the
class is Laura Farrall, who holds a Masters degree in exercise
science and is a NASM certified personal trainer.

Creative
Dramatics Program
The Wildwood Crest Recreation Department hosts
Creative Dramatics classes for boys and girls ages 8-12 each
Wednesday from 3:45 to 4:45 p.m. Children get the opportunity to
learn the fundamentals of acting, featuring improvisation,
pantomime, creative movement and more.
Class is directed by Laura Farrall.
Cost is $30 for first child, $20 for each
additional child from the same family for 10 sessions.

Adult Cards Program
An adult card
playing program is held at the
Crest
Pier
Recreation
Center
every Wednesday at 10 a.m. The program is free.
Adult Mahjong
Program
The
Crest
Pier
Recreation
Center
hosts an open adult mahjong program each Monday and Thursday at
noon. Mahjong players of all abilities are invited to participate in
informal games. The program is free.
Adult Scrabble
Program
The
Crest
Pier
Recreation
Center
hosts an open Scrabble program each Friday at 10 a.m. Wordsmiths of
all abilities are invited to participate in informal games. The
program is free. Open to adults only.
Paper
Shredder
Available To Borough Residents
The
Borough of Wildwood Crest encourages its residents not to
throw away their junk mail, personal records, old receipts or other
normally discarded documents, as the borough has purchased a
commercial shredding machine at no expense to taxpayers.
The shredding
machine is located at the
Crest
Pier
Recreation
Center
and is available for use by residents from 9:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Monday through Friday and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday.
